Alturas from Mahindra, to be launched in November


Mahindra is one of the famous Indian automakers which is majorly in the SUV segment. The all-new Alturas which is going to be launched in the Indian market very soon. The all-new Alturas is being dubbed as the second generation SsangYong Rexton.

With this launch, Mahindra will be competing with the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. This all-new model will be going for display by November 26. Whereas the prices would be announced on November 24 and the amount for pre-booking will be Rs. 50,000.

The all-new SUV from Mahindra will be a seven-seater and will be given a much bolder look. The exteriors are very impressive with silver accents all-over the front and there is a bold straight going body profile. The car will also have a sunroof, segment-rivaling kit in the form of Nappa leather upholstery, powered front seats with memory function. There is also a 9.2-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay.

The all-new Alturas will be rolled out in two variants G2 and G4. In contrast, there will be only one engine option (i.e.) a 2.2L, four-cylinder diesel engine that churns out 180.5bhp power and 450Nm torque. The engine is coupled with a 7-speed automatic gearbox. 

The G2 variant will be a rear wheel drive whereas the G4 will be an all-wheel drive. the car will be coming in five color schemes- new pearl white, Napoli black, Lakeside brown, Dsat silver, and Regal blue. 

The pricing is expected to be around 30Lakhs (Ex-Showroom Delhi) but is yet to be finalized by the company. With the launch of Alturas; Mahindra would be stepping into the premium SUV segment for the first time with its fully owned model.
