Hyundai is not a new company to be introduced to the Indian market as the company has enough market base here. Now, as the Indian government is thinking to pure electric vehicles all across the country by 2030, it is evident that Hyundai would play a key role. Hyundai could have electrified any one of its existing models but it chose the all-new Kona model to introduce the electric vehicles. The company has decided to introduce the electric version of its Kona model in India.
There would be a regular design on the outside as the company representative said. However, the interiors and the features of the car would be distinctive when compared to the regular model. This electric Kona would take another 2 years to hit the Indian market. However, the regular SUV model is all set to come here by next year.
Kona EV’s prototypes and display models sure give you a unique feeling and can surely take away the “most stylish SUV” title. This new model gets a new way light stylings also as the headlight units sit a little bit low than regular position. The daytime running LED DRLs are also on the top of the front face when compared to the conventional designs. This sure distinguishes Kona from the other Hyundai models.
However, the signature hexagonal front grille is present. Apart from that, the car has a muscular bumper, unique fog lamps, and chrome treats all over. There are sporty alloy wheels, glossy black glass, OVRMs indicators also. The roof is very sloppy and neatly curved. The headlights and the tail lights get a total LED treatment as well. However, the company is yet to decide whether there will be any changes in the design of Indian Kona version.
Just like the exteriors, there could be a long list of internal features too. However, the list of internal specifications is yet to be disclosed. The car is based on a new platform and so, there can be enough space even with the placement of electric motor and battery.
Gear train and Motor:
