Jeep Motors is coming up with a premium version of it’s Compass model naming it the Trailhawk. Wearing the tag ” Trail hawk”, Jeep is making it more adaptable to the off-road conditions. There will be a whole bunch of new equipment available for it’s customers.
On whole, the Compass looks more or less the same except for few small tweaks all around. The body now comes with a blackened bonnet and two red hooks at the back. The front and the rear bumpers are also new because of the revised departure angel. Apart from these major changes there are few cosmetic changes all around the body. On the inside, there would not be much change except for the possibility of new colour schemes.
Interestingly, there are a plenty of facilities already being offered by the regular Compass. So, the Trailhawk version may not get any additional features too. Surprisingly, the new compass will come with same 2.0L diesel engine of 173 PS power and 350Nm torque. But, there is a change here too. The engine being offered will be an updated one according to BS-VI emission Norms. Apart from this there will an all-new 9-speed automatic gear train. This is the first in class features being offered in the range.
Incidentally, the Trailhawk version is of 225 mm ground clearance (i.e.) 20mm higher than the standard Compass. On the other hand, the new Trailhawk version of Compass will be around 25L price tag. Furthermore, Jeep will be offering this new model as the top most variant of the Compass. Any how Jeep will be announcing an important update about the Indian-spec trailhawk Compass on this July, 2019. There are even speculations the the new version may be coming on this July also.
