We all knew how much appreciation did the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga receive when it was launched in the MUV segment market. This MUV is the only competitor for the Premium Toyota Innova. The car is being seen by middle-class people basically for family purposes that is lacking in Toyota Innova that became more like an executive vehicle.
Now, Maruti Suzuki is all set to update its Ertiga according to the latest features that will make this model stand on the top amongst other MUVs. In Comparision with 2013, today there are many new MUVs in the market like Mahindra Marazzo, Datsun GO plus and the all-time-rival Innova Crysta.
There is very much speculation about the new design and specifications of this model. The new model is being around on the Indian roads even after the international release. The all-new Second-Gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is all to set go for sales by this 21 November, 2018.
The new Ertiga has the same 2740mm of wheelbase but it will be now all-new and longer in dimensions. The front face is totally new with smart grille slim headlights and wraparound taillights with LED treatment. The car looks to be lighter and stiffer than the old one.
Under the hood, there is a 1.5L petrol mill for churning out 140bhp of power. It will be coming with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Whereas the 1.3L diesel engine would be continuing as usual.
The interiors are new with designs from its swift model which makes the cabin more familiar. There are many tweaks like Maruti’s smart play touchscreen infotainment system, cupholders, dual front airbags, and parking sensors. On the other hand, the top variant may get rear parking camera also.
The all new Ertiga will be competing with the all-new Mahindra Marazzo. There will be also all new Innova crysta but the price factor may play a key role.
