Suzuki Baleno Production increased, waiting period to be reduced

Maruti Suzuki Baleno is one of the finest hatchbacks in the Indian market. Let it be its design, interiors or even the performance Baleno is playing well in comparison to other hatchbacks. Though there is a huge demand from various automakers in this segment, Suzuki is facing difficulty in delivery of Baleno.

This problem can be commonly seen for new models in the market but over a couple of years, Suzuki has been facing a huge demand for its models because of their new design, refined engines, and luxurious interiors. Though the demand for other models like ertiga and dezire is being met. This is not in the case of Baleno.

Now, the company is solving the grievances of its customers and announced that there is an increase in production by 34 percent in the last 8 months.

“The main reason for increasing the production rate is to curb the increasing waiting period for delivery of this model,” says company representatives.

There are around 4.5 Lakh units on road from the time of its release (i.e.) October 2015. It has been 1050 days seen its launch and as per calculations, 427 units have been sold every day. That’s not all, Baleno is being the best selling hatchback since March 2017. Maybe these are the reasons for customers to wait for the hatchback what so ever and the company to increase its production rate.

Press Release:

Mr. R. S. Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) says “It is a testimony for the company for Baleno’s technology, design May be and customer experience. He also says that the production rate has been increased because of hatchback Suzuki Motor Gujarat plant. With the plant being on a fully operational capacity of 2.5 lakh units annually. He has also announced that the sales have become 18000 units for past March months when compared to 14000 units in Jan’17 to Aug’17 period.

Suzuki is seeing this move as a success for the Make in India campaign. There is a huge appreciation from the international market. The premium hatchback Baleno has also become the first model to be exported to Japan, the home branch of Suzuki.

The company says that its bold design and safety features will make way for the title for most awarded hatchback.
