Tata is all set to launch its all-new Altroz model by June 2019. We all know that Tata motors is very family in the compact hatchback/ sedan segment. With an affordable price, one can get a lot from a Tata model.
At the Geneva AutoExpo 2019, Tata has showcased the production unit of its concept model. Altroz is the official commercial name for its 45X concept vehicle. With growing competition in the hatchback segment, Tata is getting ready to serve its part in the competition.
From the launch pictures, we have an idea that Altroz would equally stylish as its counterparts from other brands. It is clear that the Indian version of the model will not be having a majority of changes. Tata has designed the model based on the ALFE AEC platform curbing the weight down significantly.
The front is very stylish just the harrier & to be named buzzard, There are many stylish elements for this model too. There is a wide signature rectangular grille with a huge set of projector headlight units that get a continuous design from the grille. On the other hand, the fog light units move a bit up just like the harrier model. The side profile is equally impressive with a framed window panes and massive wheel arches merging with the body design. At the back, we find that the bumper is lifted to a new level with sharp taillight design having a black glossy connection between them. The boot door slants down with style giving a sporty look.
Cuts and curves are the identities of the Altroz. When u get inside, we are welcomed by the dark interiors with a fully equipped three-spoke steering wheel. Incidentally, the dashboard gets a sloping design highlighting the A/C vents. The other major attraction is the 7-inch LED touchscreen on top of the A/C vents that give a pop-up feeling. Though the early launch pictures indicate for less space at the back as compared to Baleno, i20; it is too early to decide upon.
Surprisingly, There is ambient lighting in the model which highlights the sportiness of the car. On the outside, there will be 17 -inch alloy wheels. Well, the interiors look much sportier the Indian version may get two-tone upholstery if the firm decides. In other words, Altroz can be fashionable if Tata wants to be so. The best part is the stock surround sound system and multimedia system from Harman in collaboration with Tata.
The all-new Altroz would be powered by the 1.2L 3 cylinder naturally aspired petrol engine Consequently producing 85PS of power and 114Nm torque. In the same vein, The turbo-petrol mill will be giving out 102PS power and 140Nm torque. Meanwhile, the JTP- fettled variant could be even more efficient if there will be one.
Furthermore, there will be a diesel version of ALtroz with a 1.5L diesel mill. Meanwhile measuring 3988mm long, 1754mm wide and 1505mm high the model will be landing in Indian as it is. Getting ready to roll out on Indian roads the price factor is yet to be decided. We believe once Tata makes an announcement everything would be coming to an end.
