Come on, go through the list of ‘SaferCars in India’ released by Global NCAP after crash testing the cars made in India. They studied entire India’s mass-market segment and revealed the safety quotient of vehicles which are on high-end sale and ranked them accordingly.
Hyundai i20 being sold in African retail markets is called Elite i20 in Indian states acquired 3-star rating in adult protection and a 2-star rating in child protection. The safety tools in here include front airbags, ABS with EBD, front seat with pre-tensioners and driver seatbelt reminder.
TOYOTA ETIOS LIVA
Toyota Etios Liva scored a 4-star rating in terms of adult protection and a 3-star rating in terms of child protection. Safety kit includes dual airbags, ABS, ISOFIX mounts. Liva high-end rating in terms of safety.
Honda Amaze hatch backed 1-star rating in child protection while 4-star rating in adult occupant protection. The overall safety is so well both for the driver and the passenger. It’s well equipped with dual airbags, ABS WITH EBD, driver seatbelt reminder and ISOFIX mounts.
MARUTI SUZUKI VITARA BREZZA
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza scored a worthy 4-star rating in adult protection and a 2-star rating in child occupant protection in the tests conducted by GNCAP. You feel Vitara Brezza as one of the safest cars due to the presence of seatbelt reminder, ABS With EBD, dual airbags and front seat belt with pre-tensioners.
Polo being furnished with neck safety and chest protection received a decent 4-star rating in adult protection and a 3-star rating in child protection due to the impact of belted CRS foiling the surplus forward movement. It’s housed with 3 point seat belt setup as well as ESP, ABS and dual airbags.
Marazzo can be preferred over other cars in terms of safety due to the presence of ISOFIX anchors, seat belt reminders for drivers and dual airbags. Just because of the overall body protection Marazzo got a 4-star rating in the adult protection category and a 2-star rating in child occupant protection.
Tata Tiago also called Tigor facelift is graded with a 4-star rating in adult occupant protection due to the entire protection of the neck , lower legs and knees were susceptible to lower dashboard. Nexon is India’s first car to receive an impressive 5-star rating. This is all because of the stable body shell and impeccable overall body protection. While coming to child occupant protection it decently scored 3-star rating. The safety kit here includes ISOFIX mounts, dual front airbags, front belt with pre-tensioners and seat belt reminder.
Altroz has very good overall protection both for driver and passenger. Got 3-star rating both in adult as well as in the child protection category. Besides the safety kit includes dual airbags, seat belt reminder and ISOFIX mounts.
Mahindra XUV 300 topped the crashing tests done by GNCAP and stood as the safest car in India. Knocked with 5 stars, 4-star rating in adult and child occupant protection respectively. XUV having corner braking controls, EBD with ABS, dual airbags and seat belt reminder proves that it can be ranked as the top 1 safest car in India.
