The famous Japanese automaker, famous for its off-road SUV’s has recently announced about its all-new Outlander. Once launched this would be the third generation of the Outlander to hit the Indian roads. The company has already announced that the new Outlander would be a CBU (Completely Built Unit) and will be available only in petrol version. The company has also started the bookings very recently and this model is even on displays in some dealerships.
The all-new Outlander would be having a three-row seating option and comes with all-black interiors. The list of specifications would contain LED headlamps with auto-levelling function, 16-inch alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, LED taillights. There are also dual-zone climate control, a 710W Rockford Fosgate sound system and a 6.1inch infotainment system.
Under the hood, the Outlander has 2.4L naturally aspired four-cylinder petrol engine for 167bhp power @6000rpm and 222Nm torque @4200rpm. The engine comes with a 6-speed CVT geartrain with paddle shifts that powers all the wheels. The company has also put its super all-wheel control (S-AWC) setup.
The safety features are also appreciable with 7- airbags, ABS with EBD, active stability control, Hill assist system, cruise control and rear parking cameras with sensors.
Being a CBU model this car is not expected to high priced and can be expected to have a price range up to 30L (Ex-Showroom Delhi). The all-new Outlander can expect competition from the Honda’s all-new CR-V and Toyota Fortuner.
