Toyota launches new SUV Urban Cruiser


Toyota has finally launched a new SUV Urban Cruiser at the starting price of Rs.8 lakh. It is a joint venture product of Toyota Motor and Suzuki Motor Corporation. It is the second joint venture product after Glanza, which has launched under the same association.

The Urban Cruiser enabled with safety features such as dual front airbags, hill hold control, reverse parking cameras along with an audio display, and an anti-lock brake. The Urban Cruiser is available in manual and automatic transmission with three variants mid, high, and premium.  The Urban Cruiser comes with a Lithium-ion battery and is empowered with a new K-Series 1.5 liter four-cylinder petrol engine.

The car’s interior features a new 7-inch Smart Playcast touchscreen that supports Android Auto/Apple Carplay and smartphone-based navigation. Four-door speakers and two tweeters make it a perfect vehicle for long rides. The interiors are more on dual-tone dark brown.

The outer part of the Urban Cruiser gets one 2-Slat wedge cut grille with chrome and trapezoidal bold fog area. Dual Chamber LED Projector Headlamps with dual function LED DRL-cum-indicators on the front with LED tail lamps. The car will hit the road on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. 

The Toyota Urban Cruiser will be competing against Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Hyundai Venue.
